THIS lecture number 12 is about electricity and magnetism in association with technology in the Science in Action series. Welcome again, because we missed last Friday’s conference on this topic, because we all understand that education is a lifelong process.
Have you ever imagined that you are also an electricity generator, just like an ant is too? In fact, almost every living thing is a generator of electricity. With electricity you will not go wrong with a double property of magnetism. Magnetism is a property associated with electricity, so together they go hand in hand. It assumes that when you generate electricity, you also generate magnetism. It is the imperative property which controls a self-propagating trait observed in all electromagnetic waves of transverse waves. This property is appropriately explained in the concepts of permittivity and permeability.
In an overview, it can be seen that with the production of electricity, there is always a magnetic field attached to it. Electricity is measured in watts or watts and magnetism has no special unit but is a vector field measured in H as taken from the base unit ampere per meter (A / m) and B as the magnetic flux density measured in tesla as taken from the base unit of kilograms per second squared per ampere.

In addition, when moving the coil of wire around a magnet, electricity will also be generated on the wire as the work done on the magnetic field flow will provide the force needed to move the electrons. More coil of wire will mean more current and also, more rotations around the magnet will also mean more electric current.
In short, a change in electric current caused a magnetic field. In addition, a change in magnetic field will cause an electric current to flow.

These two forces are one of the four dominant natural forces in nature. This force is called electromagnetic force. Electricity and magnetism cannot work in isolation and this is the reason why the subject Electromagnetism (EM) in physics is offered.
In the universe, there are only two charges, and these are the positive charges produced by protons and negative charges produced by electrons. These loads are of equal or balanced nature. This is why we have zero net charge in the universe. There are many charges in nature or the universe, but they appear in very small fractions of a second and they are in nanoseconds or magnitudes, and then they decay.
Electricity will produce a north pole and a south pole. That is, the protons will tend to move from a positive terminal to a negative terminal. To demonstrate if you take iron fillings and decide to shake inside a magnetic field exerted by a magnet, you will find that the iron fillings will be arranged according to the field lines of the magnet.
There are static electric currents which are also available in nature. They are charged objects exerting magnetic fields. Rather, it is not caused by the electric current flowing, but rather by the excitations of electrons and protons found inside this object. For example, if you rub a plastic ruler with a cotton ball or your hair, you will transfer loads from one object to another. We choose plastic rulers because they contain macro or large molecules made from polymers that can easily be rubbed to create those surfaces that are charged. Now when you bring this ruler to a smaller neutral object nearby, that small object will be attracted to the charged object which is the plastic ruler. This is called static electromagnetism. Static electricity occurs when an electrical charge, whether positive or negative, remains on a surface until it comes in contact with an electrical current to travel.
Electric charge is measured in coulombs and electric current is measured in amps or amps. Magnetic charge is measured in terms of the magnetic monopole. This is a hypothetical measure. A magnetic dipole is a measurement of a closed loop of an electric current. It is the current contained in the two poles (north and south) and therefore the net charge is reduced to zero and the magnetic moment reaches a constant value.
The magnetic moment as defined by Wikipedia is “the magnetic force and orientation of a magnet or other object that produces a magnetic field”. The magnetic field is measured in Tesla.
